At helen b we consider ecology and sustainability extremely important. Both in production and in the packaging of our products, we therefore try to work as sustainably and ecologically as possible. This means that we continuously assess our materials, partners, and methods accordingly.
Is helen b already 100% sustainable and ecological? Unfortunately (not yet), but we are committed to being so in the near future.
Especially for all our products that are already produced sustainably and ecologically, we created 'Green Fons'. Look for him on the packaging or as a label on the helen b-products.
What are we doing at the moment?
- use of recycled paper and cardboard for our stationery and packaging
- reuse of old packaging material for shipments
- use of 100% compostable bags
- screen printing with vegetable inks
- Gymbags made of 100% organic cotton
- collaboration with local partners such as Print & Companie
- collaborations with social workshops Ryhove and Aarova.
- use of our electric cargo bike for transport within Ghent
